Description

Deliciously crispy air fryer garlic butter tortillas, perfect for dipping in marinara or pizza sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 soft taco size flour tortillas
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 0 teaspoons kosher salt, or to taste
  • 0 teaspoons red pepper flakes, optional
  • 0 cups grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, optional
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley, plus more for garnish
  • 0 cups marinara or pizza sauce for serving, optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 3–5 minutes.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter and olive oil until combined.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and red pepper flakes until the mixture is evenly seasoned.
  4. Lay the flour tortillas on a cutting board or work surface. If your air fryer basket is small, cut the tortillas in half so they fit in a single layer.
  5. Brush the top of each tortilla generously with the garlic butter mixture, making sure to coat all the way to the edges.
  6. Sprinkle each tortilla with grated Parmesan, followed by a light layer of shredded mozzarella if using.
  7. Add a pinch of extra Italian seasoning and some chopped fresh parsley over the cheese on each tortilla.
  8. Place the tortillas in the air fryer basket in a single layer, cheese side up, working in batches if needed so they are not overlapping.
  9. Air fry for 4–6 minutes, or until the edges are golden, the cheese is melted, and the garlic is fragrant, checking at the 4-minute mark to prevent burning.
  10. Carefully remove the tortillas from the air fryer and they will crisp up slightly as they cool.
  11. Transfer the tortillas to a cutting board and slice each one into wedges or strips using a sharp knife or pizza cutter.
  12. Sprinkle with additional fresh parsley and a tiny pinch of salt if desired.
  13. Serve warm with marinara or pizza sauce for dipping, and enjoy immediately for the best texture.

Notes

  • For an extra crunch, let the tortillas cool for a few minutes after air frying.
