Description
This creamy cheesecake is made with a rich filling of cream cheese, sugar, and eggs, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- A pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a 9-inch round springform pan with parchment paper, ensuring it extends above the edges—this will help with the removal later.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.
- Gradually add in the granulated sugar and continue mixing until fully combined.
- Add eggs, one at a time, ensuring you mix well after each addition. This helps to incorporate air, making for a fluffy texture.
- Pour in the vanilla extract, followed by the heavy cream, and mix until the batter is silky.
- Sift the flour and salt into the mixture, stirring gently until just combined. Avoid over-mixing.
- Pour the cheesecake batter into the prepared springform pan.
- Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 40-45 minutes. The top should be deep brown, almost burnt while the center remains jiggly.
- Once done, remove the cheesecake from the oven and let it cool in the pan. It will puff up during baking and slightly sink while cooling.
- After about an hour, transfer the cheesecake to the refrigerator to chill for at least 1 hour before serving.
Notes
- For best results, ensure all ingredients are at room temperature before starting.
- Chilling the cheesecake for longer enhances the flavor and texture.
