- 4 slices brioche bread (thick cut)
- 2 eggs (large)
- 0 cup milk or cream
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter (for cooking)
- 0 cup chocolate chips or chopped chocolate (semi-sweet or dark)
- 1 cup fresh strawberries (sliced)
- powdered sugar (optional garnish)
- cocoa powder (optional dusting)
Instructions
- Whisk eggs, milk, sugar, and vanilla in a shallow bowl until smooth.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and melt butter evenly.
- Dip each brioche slice into the custard mixture, soaking briefly on both sides.
- Place soaked brioche onto the skillet and cook 2–3 minutes per side until golden.
- Sprinkle chocolate over hot toast and allow it to melt gently.
- Transfer toast to plates and top with sliced strawberries.
- Dust with powdered sugar or cocoa powder if desired and serve immediately.
Notes
- This recipe can be easily doubled for more servings.
- Feel free to use other fruits for topping like bananas or blueberries.
