Description

A delicious creamy peanut sauce that is perfect for dipping or drizzling over salads and noodles.

Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter
  • 23 tbsp soy sauce
  • 12 tbsp rice vinegar or lime juice
  • 12 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 12 tsp toasted sesame oil
  • 12 cloves garlic, finely minced or grated
  • ½1 tsp chili garlic sauce or sriracha
  • ¼½ cup warm water

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, add the peanut butter, soy sauce, vinegar or lime juice, honey or maple syrup, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and chili sauce.
  2. Whisk until it starts to come together. It will look thick and lumpy at first — don’t panic.
  3. Slowly drizzle in warm water, a couple tablespoons at a time, whisking continuously. Keep adding water until you reach your desired consistency. For a dip, you’ll want it thicker. For drizzling over noodles or salad, make it looser.
  4. Taste and adjust. Need more salt? Add a splash more soy sauce. Too thick? More water. Want more tang? Add another squeeze of lime juice or vinegar.
  5. Don’t be afraid to taste as you go and adjust until it’s perfect. That’s what makes homemade so much better than a jar — it’s exactly how you like it.
