- 10 ounces trottole pasta
- 1 pound minced beef
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 14 ounces diced tomatoes (canned)
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Fresh basil and parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the trottole pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced beef, seasoning with salt and pepper; cook until browned.
- Remove the beef, add onions to the skillet, and sauté until translucent. Stir in garlic and cook until fragrant.
- Add diced tomatoes, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes if using; simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Return the beef to the skillet, combine with the tomato mixture, then add cooked trottole pasta. Toss to coat.
- Remove from heat, stir in chopped basil and parsley, serve hot topped with grated parmesan.

- This dish is best served hot.
- Adjust seasoning according to your taste.
