- 10 fresh jalapeños
- 1 pound ground sausage (spicy or mild)
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
- Slice jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove seeds.
- Cook ground sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned; drain excess grease.
- In a bowl, mix cooked sausage, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and garlic powder until well combined.
- Stuff each jalapeño half generously with the mixture.
- Arrange stuffed jalapeños in the baking dish and bake for 20 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
- For a milder version, you can use fewer jalapeños or deseed them thoroughly.
- These can be made ahead of time and baked just before serving.
