Ingredients

Scale
  • 10 fresh jalapeños
  • 1 pound ground sausage (spicy or mild)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Slice jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove seeds.
  3. Cook ground sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned; drain excess grease.
  4. In a bowl, mix cooked sausage, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and garlic powder until well combined.
  5. Stuff each jalapeño half generously with the mixture.
  6. Arrange stuffed jalapeños in the baking dish and bake for 20 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

  • For a milder version, you can use fewer jalapeños or deseed them thoroughly.
  • These can be made ahead of time and baked just before serving.
