Description

A hearty rigatoni pasta bake with a rich meat sauce, topped with creamy cheeses.


Ingredients

  • 16 oz rigatoni pasta
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F).
  2. Cook rigatoni in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil. Cook ground beef with onion and garlic until browned. Drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer 5 minutes.
  5. In a large bowl, combine cooked pasta with meat sauce and ricotta. Mix gently.
  6. Transfer to a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  7. Top with mozzarella and Parmesan.
  8. Bake 20–25 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  9. Let rest 5–10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For added flavor, top with fresh basil before serving.
  • Alternatively, use ground turkey for a lighter option.
