Description

A creamy and cheesy Yukon Gold potato gratin that’s perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds Yukon Gold potatoes
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup Gruyère cheese, grated
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes evenly.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together heavy cream, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Pour half over the potatoes.
  4. Sprinkle half of the Gruyère cheese on top.
  5. Layer the remaining sliced potatoes and pour the rest of the cream mixture over them; finish with remaining Gruyère and all Parmesan.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  7. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, consider adding a pinch of nutmeg to the cream mixture.
  • Letting the gratin sit for a few minutes after baking will help it set up for easier serving.
