- 1 cup rolled oats
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 1 ¼ cups warm water (100°F)
- 2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, mix rolled oats, flour, baking powder, and salt until combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together warm water, honey (or maple syrup), and olive oil (or melted butter) until smooth.
- Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients while stirring gently until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
- Allow to cool slightly before slicing.
Notes
- For a sweeter bread, add more honey or maple syrup.
- This bread can be served with butter or jam.
