Description

This moist pumpkin bread is packed with chocolate chips, perfect for a delicious treat.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 eggs
  • 4 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 29 oz. can pure pumpkin
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cloves
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground nutmeg
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F.
  2. Grease and flour three 8 1/2” x 4 ½” loaf pans or use a cooking spray with flour in it.
  3. In a very large bowl, gently whisk the eggs. Mix in sugar, pumpkin, and oil.
  4. In a separate large bowl, mix together all Bowl Two ingredients (don’t add chocolate chips).
  5. Mix the Flour Mixture into the Pumpkin Mixture just until combined, being careful not to overmix.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Evenly divide the batter between 3 loaf pans.
  8. Bake at 325°F for 65 – 75 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let the bread cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes, then remove the bread from the pans.
  10. Let the bread cool completely on a wire rack before slicing.

Notes

  • This bread can be stored in an airtight container for several days.
  • For a variation, you can use half chocolate chunks instead of chips.
